COMPETITION
At SAIE, we have been committed to making our students to learn and grasp the
ability to analyze questions and the methods to solve problems by means of reading, contests and
intensive training, especially by the training for international contests, which not only improves
students’ ability, but also cultivates their patience and train their endurance. SAIE has dedicated
mentoring group for student activities and contests; besides, the college counseling group, led by the
former admission officer of Columbia University, also guides students’ contests from the perspective of
applying for colleges. We encourage our students to proactively take part in all kinds of contests and
activities, to complete with other students all around the world. SAIE students perform so well that
they win medals in various competitions. Every year, on average, each SAIE student at least win one
international award. We aim to promote our students’ confidence, spirit of science research and
innovation, to get prepared for their future competition in the whole world.

Successively won the Photography Honorable Mention Award, Painting Honorable Mention Award,
and Jewelry Honorable Mention Award in the American Music Art and Writing Contest in 2018.

Maggie’s self-made video in which she performed the music written by herself won the
honorary award in the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest in 2018.

SAIE was given the title of the Outstanding Team Contribution Award and was selected as the
TOP 2 school, and Li Keyi from the 10th grade was rated as the TOP 10 Debtors in Shenzhen
region in the National High School Debate League of China in 2018.

2017

SAIE has obtained excellent results in Australian Mathematics Competition in 2017: 2 second
class prizes, 11 third class prizes, 20 math skill awards. 36 students from SAIE attended
the competition and 33 out of them have won awards.

Four debate teams from SAIE have respectively won the first place in junior category, the
third place in junior category and the final eight in the Shenzhen first region in the
National High School Debate League of China in 2017-2018 season.

SAIE has won awards in Math League in Guangdong region in 2017-2018 : 1 first prize, 3 third
prizes, 9 third prizes.
2016

18 students from SAIE won awards successively in British Young Writers Writing Competition
in 2016, whose works would be included in the British Library.

In 2015, students from Shenzhen Academy of International Education was the only
representative from South China taking part in the American International Public Policy
Forum High School Debate Contest. It was a prestigious international competition, of which
only three schools from China have been the finalists in last 10 years.
